    Eastland County will be practicing recommended social distancing guidelines for all Eastland County Elections. We will be using an alcohol solution to clean the polling locations and voting machines. Each voter will use a clean stylus to sign in on the tablet and be offered a Q-tip to mark their ballot on the machine so the voter does not have to touch the machine. The use of masks by voters and poll workers is optional, but encouraged.

    If you are 65 or over or disabled, you are encouraged to request a mail ballot from the Joint Elections Office. To request a ballot call 254-629-6051 or email Elections Office - elections1@eastlandcountytexas.com.

    All Eastland County polling places offer a curbside service for those that are unable to enter the polling place to vote due to age, disability, or sickness.

  • Voter ID

    ID required for Texas Voters

    You must present one of the following forms of photo ID when
    voting in person:*

    • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
    • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
    • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
    • Texas license to carry a handgun issued by DPS
    • United States military identification card containing your photograph
    • United States citizenship certificate containing your photograph
    • United States passport

    Do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain one of these IDs? Fill out
    a declaration at the polls explaining why and bring one of the following
    supporting documents:

    • Valid voter registration certificate
    • Certified birth certificate (must be an original)
    • Copy of or original current utility bill
    • Copy of or original bank statement
    • Copy of or original government check
    • Copy of or original paycheck
    • Copy of or original government document with your name and an address (original required if it contains a

    *With the exception of the U.S. citizenship certificate, the identification must be current or have
    expired no more than 4 years before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place.

    Exemptions: Voters with a disability may apply with the county voter registrar for a permanent exemption
    to showing ID at the polls. Voters with a religious objection to being photographed or voters who do not have
    a ID due to certain natural disasters may apply for a temporary exemption to showing ID at the polls. Please

    Who qualifies for an application and ballot by mail?

       A qualified voter may vote by mail if the voter:

    –      Will be 65 or older on Election Day (Annual or Regular ABBM)
    –      Has a Disability (Annual or Regular ABBM)
    –      Is Expecting to Give Birth Within Three Weeks Before or After Election Day (Regular ABBM) (New Law)
    –      Is Civilly Committed Under Chapter 841, Health and Safety Code (Regular ABBM) (New Law)
    –      Expects to be Absent from County during Early Voting and on Election Day (Regular ABBM)
    –      Is Confined in Jail (Regular ABBM)
    –      Is in the Attorney General Address Confidentiality Program (Regular ABBM)
    –      Is Military or Dependent of Military & Outside of Home Texas County (FPCA)
    –      Is Temporarily Living Outside the United States (FPCA)
    –      Is Living Outside the United States and the Voter has Indicated their Intent to Return is Uncertain (FPCA)
    –      Is a member of the National Guard or Dependent (FPCA) (New Law)

    Application for Ballot by Mail

     Instructions for submitting an Application for Ballot by Mail (“ABBM”):
    1. Print the ABBM form OR submit an email to elections1@eastlandcountytexas.com and an ABBM will be mailed to you.
    2. Complete Sections 1 through 4.
    3. Sign and Date Section 5.
    4. If you were unable to sign the application and someone witnessed your signature, that person must complete Section 6.
    5. If someone helped you complete the application or mailed the application for you, that person must complete Section 6.
    6. Affix postage.
    a. If you printed the application, you must place it in your own envelope and add postage. 
    b. If you ordered the application online and it was mailed to you - fold the application in half, moisten top tab, seal and add postage.
    7. Address and mail the completed ABBM to the Early Voting Clerk, Summer Olvera 100 W Main St Ste 104 Eastland, Tx 76448. You may also fax the application to: 254-631-0067. You also have the option of submitting ascanned copy of the completed and signed application to the Early Voting Clerk via email to:

  • Military and Overseas Voters

    First and foremost, we would like to thank you, the military voters, for your service to our country.
    To all U.S. citizens overseas, thank you for your interest in your country’s elections while far away.

    (Federal voting law defines “overseas” as anywhere outside the United States. This includes Canada and Mexico.)

    Military and overseas voters are welcome to use the regular registration and early voting by mail process (also known as absentee voting) available to all voters away from their home county on Election Day.

    However, there are also special provisions for you.
